Concise and Practical Guide for Value Assessment

This is a wonderfully clear and simple guide for heath care professionals to understand and practically implement cost-effectivenss analyses and assess the value of a healthcare intervention, drug, or technology. I noticed this new third edition has many more tables and helpful figures compared to the previous version and there are lots examples and exercises with answers in the back. I highly recommend this book, and the methods are all in alignment with more advanced guidelines from the US Panel on Cost-Effectiveness in Health and Medicine, Briggs, and Drummond. The University of Washington provides this book to many students as they learn to prioritize healthcare portfolios based on value.

Great Resource for Researchers

As a student, this is a great resource!! It is well written, with clear concepts and real life examples. The exercises make it so the concepts stick in your brain, whereas the glossary is handy for reference. I use this book for class and for projects that I am working on. Better yet, I will use the techniques that I have learned for future employment opportunities, as cost-effective analysis is an essential methodology for any modern researcher.
